Polymer vibration suppression material “HPDM”
Turntable seats require flexibility. Conventionally, many turntable mats are made of rubber-based materials, but since rubber materials have large internal stress distortions, they release vibrations in a distorted manner. This is the cause of what is called a ``rubber sound''. "HPDM" suppresses vibration by mechanical friction between molecules, so it has little internal stress distortion and suppresses vibration without coloring the sound.
"Flat top structure" achieves close integration with the label surface
A structure with a concave label surface distorts the center of the record and reduces tracking on the inner periphery. The flat top structure allows the record label to be in complete contact with the record without creating any dents on the surface, improving tracking and exhibiting a high vibration damping effect. Stable tracking performance also has the effect of suppressing runaway inside force.
Outstanding durability and stability
Conventional products contain plastic materials, and as a result of deterioration of the material over time, known as ``settling'', they are no longer able to absorb vibrations adequately. Since HPDM does not use plastic materials, it is resistant to deterioration over time, and it also eliminates corrosive materials such as sulfur, so you can use it without damaging your precious records and audio equipment.
"HV" has a two-layer structure made by laminating HPDM with different damping performance.
The turntable side has a two-layer structure laminated with a sheet with higher damping performance, which further suppresses vibrations.
