Viscous foam elastomer “VFE”
VFE material, which is made by foaming a highly viscous gel material, exhibits double vibration absorption performance by combining ``viscosity'' and ``foaming'', which have excellent vibration absorption properties. It also exhibits excellent cost performance.
Sandwiched between tone arm and cartridge to isolate vibrations
The enemy of cartridges is vibration. Of course, vibrations are not transmitted to the cartridge body, but the vibrations generated from the cartridge may become resonant and be transmitted to the arm side. VFE absorbs those vibrations and prevents them from propagating.
*Cannot be used with twin lock type head shells.
Outstanding durability and stability
Conventional products contain plastic materials, and due to deterioration of the material over time, known as ``settling'', they are no longer able to absorb vibrations adequately. VFE does not use plastic materials, so it is resistant to deterioration over time, and since it does not contain any corrosive materials such as sulfur, there is no need to worry about damaging your audio equipment.
Two types with different personalities are available.
VFE with different hardness is used and can be selected according to the application.
VFE-1016S places more emphasis on vibration absorption.
VFE-1016H places more emphasis on sound quality.
